The tanning beds and ultraviolet radiation have been raised to the highest category of cancer by expert World Health Organization (WHO).The same level of risk mustard gas or arsenic.

In contrast,Kathy Banks,chief executive of the Sunbed Association,a union of manufacturers and operators of such equipment,disputes the classification of tanning beds as carcinogenic.Banks says there is no proof that the "responsible use" of the beds cause cancer.

However,doctors have observed that as the use of the beds came increasing among people under 30,there was an increase in cases of skin cancer.In Britain,melanoma,the most dangerous form of skin cancer,is now the most common tumor diagnosed in women in their 20s.
